# Preamble The Open Information Use License - Catalonia is a license agreement that allows users to freely share, modify and use this information in a flexible manner only respecting certain conditions established in the Terms of Use section. Obliged subjects must provide people with access to public information, whether it is the subject of active publication or the exercise of the right of access to information, in a reusable format, with the aim that it can be exploited through the reproduction and dissemination by any means, in such a way as to allow the creation of information products or services with added value based on public data, within the limits established by the regulations on the reuse of public sector information. The exercise of intellectual or industrial property rights owned by third parties must not be an obstacle to the reuse of information, as long as the obliged subjects have sufficient exploitation rights and include a reference to the owner or transferor of the aforementioned rights. Public information can contain a wide variety of content types (images, audiovisual material, etc...), so this license does not govern the rights to the contents individually. So people who reuse the information can use this license in conjunction with any other license for the content. The terms used in this document must be interpreted in accordance with the concepts defined by the applicable regime in matters of information and right of access, in accordance with the regulations referred to in the section " Current legislation on open information and reuse". # What this license allows The reuse of information. Reusable information is made available, whenever possible, so that it can be processed in an automated way, together with metadata and in open formats. - The conditions of use appearing in the reuse licenses bind the reusers simply by obtaining the information or accessing it. The reuse of the information is carried out under the sole responsibility of the person reusing it. - Exclusive rights for the reuse of information cannot be granted, except when it is essential for the provision of a service of public interest. In the event of the existence of exclusive agreements, the obliged entity must review them periodically, in any case every three years, in order to verify whether the causes that justified the exclusivity still exist, and must modify the conditions if not were justified. These agreements must be transparent and public. - The person requesting the information may request a certificate of the conditions of reuse that govern public information at a given time. The certification must be issued within a maximum period of fifteen working days, counting from the receipt of the request in the electronic register of the public administration. These requests must be addressed to the competent body, which is the one that has the requested public information. - Sublicensing of data is not permitted. - No other restrictions or conditions of use may be imposed on the exercise of the rights granted or asserted under this license. - The use of logos, brands, shields and distinctive symbols of the Generalitat de Catalunya in publications and websites that are not participated in or sponsored by this Institution is not authorized under any circumstances.
